Open Standards Via FOSS Technologies

KimalCorp is Committed to Advancing Open/Internet Standards Technologies through the use of Free/Open Source Software (FOSS) and Model.

SOFTWARE PHENOMENON

For the past ten years or more, there has been a quiet "Global" Revolution in the area of Software Development, Distribution and Maintenance.

This phenomenon  is loosely called  the Free/Open Source Software (FOSS)  model. Many of the software applications that have grown from FOSS to reach "World Wide" recognition and use include BSD and the GNU/Linux Operating Systems (OS) - the latter commonly called Linux - functionally similar to Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS X, Mozilla Firefox Web Browser and Thunderbird E-Mail programs, the Apache Web Server which today powers more than two thirds of the every web site on Earth, OpenOffice  - the new "Open Standards" based Professional Office suite that rivals and even surpasses Microsoft Office in many features/capability, and  numerous others.

Most average computer users today, whether student  or home user, as well as community organizations, businesses of all sizes and even Governments agencies use Open Standards based FOSS  technologies every day, many times without even knowing it.   Every Google or Yahoo search,  every NYSE trade or internet connection is FOSS based in some way.

Our  aim is to bring these incredible technologies directly  to as many individuals and the local community at large - Schools, Religious Institutions, Public Organizations and Small Business - entities that can gain the most benefits from  the very low costs involved, to the significant advantages of "rock solid" reliability, superior security and overall increased efficiency and productivity.

Welcome to the New World of

Free, Incredible Software and Computing.
